I am often asked how do I keep my creative eye in shape for my commercial clients?
It is simple I do a personal creative shoot weekly to exercise my creative side and also to enjoy photography and have a little fun while working with new lighting techniques.
Having a little fun and trying new ways to approach a shoot or light a scene gives me a great mental exercise in a low stress environment to hone my craft and keep sharp while learning new techniques and styles of lighting and staying current with visual trends.
Remember no matter what you do for a living to step back and have a little fun trying new processes and techniques, it is a lot of fun and very educational and you will find your proficiency and expertise will grow from the weekly creative exercise.
Remember to set your creativity free as often as you can.
